Outgoing Exchange

Typically, Owen students go on exchange during the fall or spring semester of the second year of their program. Some exchange partners have summer programs and, in some cases, exchanges may be able to be accomplished during one seven-week module of the Owen academic calendar.  Tuition is paid to Owen for the semester in which a student is on exchange.

To qualify for an exchange program, students must be in good standing with Vanderbilt with all tuition bills paid and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The application deadline is typically in April for fall exchange and in October for spring exchange.

There is a limit on the number of students Owen can send to each partner school. This varies from year to year depending on the exchange balance with each partner.  Students who meet the above criteria are selected on a first come, first serve basis, unless the program becomes oversubscribed. In which case, students will be selected by the student achievement committee.
