Companies Struggle to Avoid Getting Stock Delisted

There are 112 companies listed on the NYSE and Nasdaq that are trading below $1, the threshold at which a company faces the prospect of being delisted from the major stock exchanges.
WILLIAM CHRISTIE, Frances Hampton Currey Professor of Finance, says "even after delisting, electronic trading at over-the-counter venues gives investors a way out, although at higher costs."
