An evaluative interview with a member of the Admissions Committee is required of all applicants before we can extend an offer of admission or financial aid. While we encourage you to meet with an admissions officer in person, telephone interviews are acceptable and given equal consideration in our evaluation.
Regardless of your status in the application process, we encourage you to schedule an interview in conjunction with a campus visit. This will help speed the review of your application once we receive all of your materials. Informational interviews are also available.
You can schedule an appointment for an informational or evaluative interview online, by calling 615.322.6469 or by sending an email to campus.visit@owen.vanderbilt.edu. Campus visits are normally scheduled Monday through Thursday while classes are in session but not during exams, breaks, or holidays. Please check the Academic Calendar before you schedule your visit. Classes are not scheduled on Fridays or during exams, breaks, or holidays, but you are still welcome to visit and interview with an Admissions officer during normal business hours.
Check our calendar for Admissions events in a city near you. If you would like to arrange an evaluative interview during one of our recruiting trips to a city near you, please register online or email us a copy of your current résumé. Specify the desired location and date in your request. You will be contacted by email with further instructions. Due to the limited time we have in each city, we cannot guarantee that all interview requests will be fulfilled.
Interviews are normally scheduled Monday through Friday during normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT) and occasionally on evenings or weekends in conjunction with recruiting events. Interviews typically last 30 to 45 minutes. Please dress business professional and be prepared to provide a current résumé to the interviewer, because your application file may not be readily available.
